Breast Augmentation in Riverton, UT

Breast augmentation can enhance the size and shape of your breasts, helping you achieve a more balanced and confident appearance. Whether you're looking to restore volume after pregnancy or weight loss, or simply wish to enhance your natural curves, Dr. John L. Clayton provides personalized breast augmentation options. At John L. Clayton, MD at Southridge Clinic Plastic Surgery in Riverton, UT, Dr. Clayton works closely with each patient to create a treatment plan tailored to their unique goals. To learn more about how breast augmentation can help you achieve your desired look, we invite you to schedule a consultation.

Breast augmentation is a highly customizable procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of the breasts. Dr. Clayton works closely with each patient to select the right implant type, size, and placement based on your individual goals. The surgery typically lasts less than an hour, and most patients are able to return home the same day. During your consultation, we'll go over all your options to ensure your procedure is tailored to achieve your desired results. We'll also discuss what you can expect during the breast augmentation recovery process, including how soon you can get back to your routine.

Based on your needs, Dr. Clayton may instead recommend a breast lift. While breast augmentation adds volume to the chest, a breast lift removes excess skin and positions the breasts into a perkier, more youthful position. Dr. Clayton can explain the differences between each approach and recommend a strategy for you to gain the curves you desire, whether it's with a breast augmentation or lift.

Breast enhancement surgery is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. During the procedure, the chosen implant is inserted through a small incision and placed into a surgically created pocket, ensuring proper positioning. The incision is then closed securely using sutures or skin adhesives. Following surgery, patients are moved to a private recovery area for monitoring before being discharged. Patients are advised to wear a recovery compression bra to minimize swelling and support healing. Within a few days, swelling and bruising typically begin to subside, and the breasts start to settle into their new shape. Most individuals can resume normal daily activities within a few days, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least two months. Breast augmentation often delivers beautiful, natural-looking results, enhancing both the appearance and feel of the breasts. For many patients, this procedure is transformative, boosting their confidence and helping them feel more comfortable in their own skin.

If you're considering enhancing the volume of your breasts and customizing your overall look, breast augmentation at John L. Clayton, MD at Southridge Clinic Plastic Surgery offers a variety of meaningful benefits, including:

Dr. Clayton is fantastic! - Riverton, UT - Dr. Clayton is fantastic! I am a mother of 4 and my first pregnancy was with twins. My ob/gyn let me know after my twins that a tummy tuck would be the only way to repair my stomach so I have planned on having one for the past 16 years. I had a consultation 6 years ago when I knew I was done having children but I just didn't feel good about it after meeting with the same plastic surgeon that had done my implants years before. I decided this year to look into it again and maybe get a breast lift and replace my 16 year old saline implants. I looked for plastic surgeons online and read up on many. I was impressed with Dr. Clayton's bio and reviews and so I scheduled a consultation with him. I had assumed that I would meet with multiple surgeons and hopefully find someone I could trust. When I met with Dr. Clayton I felt comfortable with him immediately. He explained the procedures and helped me to have realistic expectations. I ended up scheduling my surgery and I am now almost 6 weeks post op. I am already so impressed with my results! My scars look better than I could have imagined and both Dr. Clayton and his medical assistant have been helpful with any questions or concerns that I have had. I know that he will give me whatever time I need at my visits and I never feel rushed through. I am extremely glad that I found Dr. Clayton!

I had an amazing experience! - Draper, UT - I absolutely loved the work Dr. Clayton performed on me. After having 5 kids my body was ready to get back to pre pregnancy look. I haven't been this happy with myself in 17 years before my first baby. I was so nervous for the surgery and how I would function afterwards. He took the time to reassure me that I would do great and I was a healthy candidate for the procedure, but also was real on the recovery of it. He didn't mask any of the pain I would feel. Everything was spot on with how I would feel at so many post days/weeks of healing. He was real informative after the surgery with the many questions I had the first few weeks. I would highly recommend him for a mommy makeover. I had breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction in my flanks and stomach area. I had hardly any bruising because of the binder he put me in (not all physicians have you wear a binder) the binder is uncomfortable but so worth it for bruising and swelling purposes. The breast aug was pretty much painless and very clean cut. I am so happy with the results! The tummy tuck scar is amazing! As I looked at YouTube and other internet sites at peoples scars, I was prepared to look like Frankenstein afterwards. Not at all! The scar looks so great! And the stitches were sewn so nicely which makes all the difference in the final result of the scar. The scar is low enough I can wear a bikini and look like I'm 20 again! I will refer everyone I know to him!

Deciding to have breast augmentation surgery is a deeply personal choice. If you're considering this procedure, it's important to ensure you're doing it for yourself, not to meet anyone else's expectations. Candidates should be in good health, have fully developed breasts, and meet the age requirements for implants. This treatment can be beneficial if you're unhappy with the shape of your chest, especially if your breasts appear flat or shapeless. Additionally, if weight loss or pregnancy has altered your breasts' appearance, this surgery can restore their fullness and enhance their volume. It's also an excellent option for those who work out with weights or have naturally smaller breast tissue.

How much does breast augmentation cost?

Your cost for breast augmentation will vary based on your choices and whether you are having any other surgeries at the same time. Once your treatment plan is developed, Dr. Clayton can discuss estimated costs and financing options. It's better to focus on quality over low costs to ensure your results match your goals and last a long time.

Do I need a breast lift or augmentation?

Your treatment plan might include breast augmentation, a breast lift, or both. Breast lift surgery removes excess skin and improves the position of the breasts, while implants enhance the size and shape. In your consultation with Dr. Clayton, he will listen to your needs and goals before discussing your treatment options. An augmentation and lift are usually a part of a mommy makeover to revitalize the breasts after breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Can I breastfeed with implants?

If you might want to breastfeed after augmentation surgery, be sure to tell Dr. Clayton during your consultation. It's usually possible to breastfeed after augmentation surgery with the proper placement and technique. Pregnancy and breastfeeding can alter your results, which is why it is best to wait until your family is complete to have breast augmentation.

Can I have my implants removed?

You may decide at some point that you would like to replace or remove your implants. If this happens, Dr. Clayton offers breast revision surgery. In revision surgery, your old implants can either be replaced with different implants or removed. If you choose to have your implants removed, you may need to have a breast lift because larger implants may stretch your skin. If you have any concerns or questions after your augmentation surgery, schedule an appointment at John L. Clayton, MD at Southridge Clinic Plastic Surgery to learn more about your options.

Do implants cause breast cancer?

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is continuing to investigate a potential link between breast implants and anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), a rare type of immune cell cancer that is distinct from breast cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes that implant-associated ALCL is uncommon and highly treatable when detected early. Dr. Clayton advises all patients with breast implants to undergo regular breast cancer screenings. If you notice any unusual symptoms, such as swelling, contact John L. Clayton, MD at Southridge Clinic Plastic Surgery promptly.
